Employment Non-Discrimination

The Unitarian Universalist Association strongly opposes employment discrimination and supports legislation, including the original Employment Non-Discrimination Act (EDNA) H.R. 2015, which would ensure equality in the workplace for everyone, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. We oppose any version of ENDA, such as H.R. 3685, that does not include gender identity protections. Our advocacy for this vital civil rights legislation stems from our religious conviction that every person has inherent worth and dignity, and that every person, regardless of sexual orientation, should be treated equally under law.
