Comprehensive Sexuality Education
Unitarian Universalist (UU) teachings name sexuality as an integral part of being human. Sexuality is understood as both natural and positive, and as encompassing ethical, spiritual, emotional, social, political, and interpersonal issues as well as physical ones. For these reasons, the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) has been a long-time advocate of age-appropriate, medically accurate, comprehensive sexuality education. We teach sexuality education in our congregations though the program Our Whole Lives (formerly titled About Your Sexuality).
Sexuality education is one of the top UUA legislative priorities as we have a grounded, unique and powerful voice in this debate. Please read on to learn more and take action in our “Get REAL” Sex Ed Campaign.
