Film Shares Unitarians' Story During WWII

My fellow Unitarian Universalists,

The documentary, Two Who Dared: The Sharps' War depicts the heroic work of Martha Sharp, a social worker, and her husband the Rev.Waitstill Sharp, a Unitarian minister. At the request of the American Unitarian Association, the Sharps left their comfortable home in Massachusetts and risked their lives in war-torn Europe to rescue thousands from the Holocaust. The Sharps are named in Yad Vashem as Righteous Among the Nations, two of only three Americans so honored.

Martha and Waitstill Sharp offer a powerful example of religious faith in action. I encourage Unitarian Universalists and anyone interested in human rights and social justice to see this compelling film. Learn more about the film in this article from UU World and at Two Who Dared.
