Criminalization

The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) is committed to building a world where all people--regardless of migration status, religious background, physical identity or ability, or sexual orientation--are able to thrive. Unitarian Universalists work for justice in order to make our diverse communities more inclusive and to resist efforts to criminalize people for being who they are.

Opposing the criminalization of people based on their identities is central to our prophetic public ministry. The UUA has joined with the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee to form Love Resists, a campaign helping people resist the criminalization of our communities and oppose the increasing surveillance and harassment by law enforcement and government agencies.
