Planning for Growth and Vitality for Mid-Size Congregation

This opportunity for a team of people from midsize congregations focuses on specific issues of middle sized churches. In particular, your congregational team learns:
  • To identify some of the current strengths and future opportunities for growth, development, and vitality in your congregation.
  • Some of the specific strategies moving from a "pastoral" to "program" style congregation.
  • How to focus on ways that a vision, a sense of purpose and a responsiveness to your surrounding community can direct your efforts for expressing these in the program ministry of the congregation.
  • The importance of congregational culture in middle sized congregations and ways hat this informs your specific growth, vitality and change strategies.
  • To put some of the concerns that you have about "volunteerism" and "fundraising" into the broader context of personal ministry and giving development within the congregation.
  • A planning method that guides your work with your congregation following the workshop.
This workshop typically takes place on a Friday evening, all day Saturday and Sunday until 2:00 p.m.
