September 2009: New Congregational Year
Dear Friends,
We hope that you enjoyed a restful summer break and you're ready for the upcoming congregational year! We’ve been busy here at the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) and have many announcements.
Is your congregation welcoming a new minister or director of religious education? The Office of Information and Public Witness provides public relations resources to help congregations raise awareness of newly arrived ministers and directors of religious education.
The Ministry and Professional Leadership staff group has “re-visioned” their credentialing program for religious educators. They are now accepting applications to participate in the new program.
The Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries announces “Being More Visible: Changing More Lives,” a Unitarian Universalist Campus Ministry gathering to be held September 23-25, 2009, at the First Unitarian Society in Madison, WI. All college and university students, ministers, religious educators, seminarians and other campus ministry leaders are welcome to attend.
The General Assembly Planning Committee invites your proposals for programs to be held at the 2010 General Assembly in Minneapolis, MN.
The UUA Office of Congregational Stewardship Services has evaluated its Green Sanctuary Program and is pleased to announce the program’s success and continued growth. Applications for candidacy and accreditation are accepted throughout the year, on a rolling basis.
Warmest Regards,
Rachel Walden
