Radio can be used in various ways by Unitarian
Universalist (UU) congregations, including for advertising, public service announcements (PSAs), and radio programs. If paying for radio time is beyond the budget of your congregation, you might consider creating podcasts instead. These can be posted on the internet and publicized to reach your audience. Podcasts could be the podcast of a worship service or a special event at church, or they can be specially created programs as you would hear on radio. First Unitarian Church of Rochester, NY, produces a podcast program called LifeNow!, which has also been broadcast on the radio. It is one of their ministries and is an outreach tool for the congregation.
Congregations can produce their own radio spots, but this can be costly.
However, some congregations have created some great spots! These three radio
ads, below, produced for the UU Church of the Desert in Rancho Mirage, CA,
