Listening to Experience: Ministers Discuss Growth

Ministers from Some of the Fastest Growing and Most Diverse UU Congregations in America Talk About Growth

Twelve ministers from some of the fastest growing and most diverse Unitarian Universalist (UU) congregations in America gathered to talk about growth with the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) Growth Team and Rev. Alice Mann of the Alban Institute.

For nearly three days they shared their success stories and offered insights into how their congregations have grown in spirituality, in membership, and in mission.

Professional videographers captured their conversations. A DVD titled “Listening to Experience” was created from this extraordinary event and was sent to more than 4,000 ministers and lay leaders throughout the world.

Within a few days, it became clear to us that even sending out over 4,000 DVDs wasn’t enough. This resource was simply too good not to share with everyone. Therefore we have put all nine segments of the DVD on our website where they will be available to all.

Use the questions and ideas presented here to have a discussion within your own congregation. We hope you find this new resource inspiring and informative.

We welcome your reactions and feedback.

In faith,
The Growth Team
