This, We Believe
The National Public Radio “This I Believe” series has provided one of the most recent examples of how our country's religious diversity provides opportunities for us to meet on common ground, with respect for many faiths and many ethnicities. In order to further open the door to spiritual diversity, particularly as it is represented through UUA.org as a delivery method, we seek funding to conduct our own “This I Believe/The Time is Now” program.
- $100,000 will fund 100 interviews and photo sessions with Unitarian Universalists.
- $500,000 will fund the above, plus a nationally respected photographer to document congregational life in twenty Unitarian Universalist congregations with an eye towards spiritual and ethnic diversity.
- $1,000,000 will fund the above, and will enable Skinner House Books to publish a book of photographs and quotations from the interviews and congregational documentaries.
