Creating a Sustainable World One Congregation at a Time

Today, as we face major environmental justice challenges, we are called to reaffirm our Seventh Principle as Unitarian Universalists: respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part. And with your generous gifts, you enable your Association to administer programs like the Green Sanctuary, providing your congregations with the framework and resources needed to move forward with this work.

“Participating in Green Sanctuary is a wonderful opportunity to experience the application of this intertwining work of environmentalism, spirituality, and justice,” shares Marilyn Castriotta, former Co-Chair of the Green Sanctuary committee at Arlington Street Church in Boston, MA. “Green Sanctuary serves as a model for cultivating small yet significant lifestyle choices and changes as individuals, as a faith community, and out in the world.”

In honor of Earth Day 2009 on April 22nd, we invite you to learn more about the Green Sanctuary Program and how to get your congregation started.

Donate now to support Green Sanctuary and the Unitarian Universalist Association’s environmental justice work.
