Congregations Grow in Florida
Over a year later, your incredible generosity on the first annual Association Sunday is continuing to benefit our districts and congregations! A third of the over $1.4 million raised on Association Sunday 2007 was returned to your districts as grants, which have inspired the development of many creative growth programs.
The Florida District used their Association Sunday grant to found an innovative regional grant-making program, called Congregations Grow, charging congregational collaboration, promoting local fundraising efforts, and nurturing new ideas for growth.

Now is the time to sign up to participate in the third annual Association Sunday on October 4th of this year. As of February 10, 2009, 132 congregations have already registered to Grow Our Diversity.
It's Freedom to Marry Week!
Celebrate Freedom to Marry Week by exploring opportunities for education and advocacy for marriage equality, and visit the Unitarian Universalist Association’s (UUA’s) Advocacy and Witness blog to take action.
Or send a Love Letter to honor someone you love with a gift to support the UUA’s Advocacy and Witness work for marriage equality.
And check your mailboxes on Valentine’s Day for an appeal from President Sinkford to join the Friends of the UUA in Standing on the Side of Love.
Annual Program Fund Update
As of February 10, 2009, the Annual Program Fund has reached $3,589,337, or 50.1% of its $7,166,004 goal. A total of 825 congregations have already pledged, and 649 congregations are giving at the full Fair Share level. Thank you for your generous contributions!
UU To Do List
Don’t forget to enter to win the Stewardship Sermon Award by the February 15, 2009, deadline! The recipient will receive a $1,000 cash award and will see the sermon on the UUA, UU Ministers Association and Liberal Religious Educators Association websites.
