Applications from vocalists, instrumentalists, and groups interested in contributing to the worship experience of General Assembly (GA) 2014 in Providence, RI, are currently under review by GA Music Coordinator (GAMC) David M. Glasgow and the Worship Arts Team.
The deadline for applications was December 31. However, you are still encouraged to apply, as late applications will be considered as needed.
Online Application for GA Musicians
The GA Worship Arts Team is committed to modeling best practices in musical worship leadership. With that in mind, while the qualitative competence and excellence each applicant demonstrates will be of foremost importance, special attention will be given to applicants whose participation would broaden the diversity of the pool of GA musicians. Candidates of any age, sex, gender identity, race, theology, and physical ability are encouraged to apply, and to contact the GAMC at firstname.lastname@example.org or (717) 249-8944 if they encounter difficulties with or have questions about any part of the application process. Proximity to the GA site will also be considered an advantage in the selection process.
Applications should be submitted digitally whenever possible, using the online form. Inquiries may also be submitted by e-mail to email@example.com. Those for whom digital submission is prohibitively difficult may submit hard-copy materials providing equivalent information to that requested on the online form, to GAMC David M. Glasgow ℅ UUCV, PO Box 207, Boiling Springs, PA 17007. Applications must be received by Tuesday, December 31, 2013. Applicants will be notified of the results of the selection process no later than March 15, 2014.
Note: Financial assistance may be available from the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) to help cover the costs of GA attendance. The distribution of this assistance is managed separately from musical staffing decisions, but musicians will be selected and notified in time for applicants to include their role in worship leadership on scholarship applications, which are due March 31, 2014. Applicants are also encouraged to seek financial assistance as needed from their local congregations and other sources.
