Regional Anti-Racism Conferences

Anti-oppression work is a spiritual practice. One of the ways we live our Unitarian Universalist faith is through justice making. These introductory trainings focus on linked oppressions and the connection between anti-oppression work and UU spirituality.

Overview: These conferences, led by trainers in the Groundwork Program (UU Youth & Young Adult Anti-Racism Trainer-Organizers), focus on the foundational building blocks of anti-racism including the history of race and racism in the United States, racial identity development, developing a common analysis and definitions of race and racism, and understanding different types of power. We use experiential learning as much as possible and focus on community building and spiritual reflection. More information on the Groundwork Program.

Dates: See the UUA's Events Calendar or ConnectUU for dates for upcoming anti-racism and anti-oppression conferences.
