Keynote speaker for Unitarian Universalist (UU) University 2008, Dr. Carter is uniquely suited for this address.
As President of Andover Newton, Dr. Carter has forged a unique partnership with the Hebrew College next door. He challenges the institution to embody the principles of diversity that they speak not only in their curriculum but in their actions. During his tenure, he has made a concerted effort to welcome and include UU ministry students and to help the student body become more racially and ethnically diverse. He brings a unique background in the business world as well as being a pastor and a social activist.
