Housing & Hospitality for Salt Lake City 2009
The GA housing reservation system will open on March 2, 2009.
We encourage all GA attendees to please use the General Assembly Housing Reservation System, which opens March 2, 2009.
We block local hotel rooms to ensure rooms will be available to our attendees. Contracting with hotels for guest rooms also guarantees the UUA will receive meeting and function space for GA.
We recognize that the cost associated with attending the General Assembly can be prohibitive for some. Accordingly, we are constantly working to find affordable housing for these individuals as well as providing financial aid in the form of scholarship and volunteer programs.
Salt Lake Hotels
We are securing rooms for our GA attendees at several
area hotels convenient to the Convention Center and to Downtown Salt Lake City attractions. We are also working to find alternative low-cost
housing (dorms) in reasonable proximity to the convention center.
Beginning
in October, the General Assembly Office will make available a list of Salt Lake City hotels and/or dormitories with which we have secured contracts.
The UUA has requested Project Equality to conduct Equal Employment Opportunity audits of hotels In Salt Lake City, UT. The Project Equality ratings are based on work force patterns, affirmative action efforts or program, and employment practices. A summary general ranking of the hotels based upon Project Equality's findings at the time of the reviews will be posted here when completed.
