The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) Board of Trustees approved a comprehensive restatement of the Unitarian Universalist (UU) Organizations Retirement Plan (hereafter “the Plan”). All Unitarian Universalist congregations, districts, regions, the national UUA office, and other UUA-related employers must submit a new Employer Participation Agreement to the UUA Retirement Plan Committee by June 30, 2014 if they wish to remain a participating employer in the Unitarian Universalist Organizations Retirement Plan (the “Plan).
Employer/Congregations may implement the provisions of the revised Plan document effective as early as the first of the month (January 1, 2014 - July 1, 2014) following:
The date of implementation cannot be retroactive, and must be no later than July 1, 2014.
Employer/Congregations which already participate with the Retirement Plan will operate under their current participation agreement until they have received acknowledgement and consent from the Retirement Plan Committee, including approval of the date of implementation.
Congregations and UUA-related organizations not currently participating in the Plan may submit a Participation Agreement at any time.
