Winter 2012-2013 UU World Issue Available Now
We are pleased to announce that starting with the Fall 2012 issue there are recordings available for selected articles from the Fall and Winter issues of UU World.
Who is the voice on the recording? Don Hymel, a Unitarian Universalist (UU) from San Antonia, TX, has been selected to read and create MP3s from selected articles.
Don tells us that he has retired twice. As soon as he turned 65, Don began laying plans for a third "career" in voice work—dph Vocal Ease. A published poet and playwright, as well as an experienced actor and singer, Don is a member of First UU San Antonio. With the other members of The Tim and Bob Show, Don has developed an all-inclusive UU church service called "A Joyful Noise." This service has been held at UU churches in Huntsville and San Antonio, TX.
In addition to his voice work, Don volunteers with the San Antonio Low Vision Resource Center as a reader for Owl Radio. with The Extended Run Players, a group of aging actors who perform in retirement communities and fund raisers, and with the 1st UU choir.
