Visiting Boston and the UUA
Begin Your Visit at 25 Beacon St.
Please consider beginning your tour of Unitarian Universalist Boston with a visit to the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) building at 25 Beacon St, Boston, MA, 02108.
The first floor of the 25 Beacon St. building, including the UUA Bookstore, is open to the public on weekdays from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. (except in July and August, when the building closes at 4 p.m. on weekdays). The 25 Beacon St. building is closed on the weekends.
In the lobby, you can pick up free souvenirs, pamphlets, and a walking guide to Unitarian Universalist sites (PDF) in the area. The information assistant/reception is available at the front desk each weekday until 3 p.m. September - June and 2:30 p.m. July - August. The information assistant/ reception can answer your questions about the UUA and help you craft your tour of historic Boston.

Directions to the UUA Headquarters
The UUA Headquarters are at 25 Beacon Street, Boston, MA; the building is near the corner of Beacon St. and Joy St. on the edge of the Boston Common, directly to the West of the State House, near the Park Street "T" stop (on the Red and Green Lines).

Give yourself lots of time to park and get around city traffic. Please note: the prices listed above may not be current. Check with the garage(s) for the most recent information.
By Subway (a.k.a. the "T"):
- The closest Train stop to the UUA is Park Street on the Green Line and the Red Line. Walk across the common (uphill) towards the State House (large gold dome). If you are facing the State House we are the first brick building to the left.
- To plan a trip to 25 Beacon St. on public transportation use the "Trip Planner" tool on the MBTA website.
From Logan Airport:
- Getting to and from Logan Airport
- Taxicabs
- Depending on traffic, taxicabs will run between $12 and $20. There is an extra $2 airport charge for tolls.
- 25 Beacon St., is at the corner of Joy St. and Beacon St., off of the Boston Common.
- Subway (a.k.a. the "T")
- The subway costs $1.70 per ride.
- Take #22 or the #33 bus from your terminal to the Blue Airport "T" station. These free Massport shuttle buses operate from all terminals in 12 minutes or less and terminal platforms are clearly marked.
- Take the Blue Line Inbound to the Government Center Stop.
- Transfer (no charge) to the Green Line at Government Center. (upstairs, follow the signs)
- Board an Inbound train and go one stop to Park Street Station.
- Take the stairs up to the ground level and exit the station.
- You will emerge on the Boston Common. You can see the gold dome of the State House on the top of the hill.
- Walk up Park Street towards the State House to Beacon Street.
AmTrak, Communter Rail, or Buses Arriving at South Station
- At South Station, board the Red Line "T" train heading toward Alewife.
- Go two stops to Park Street Station.
- Take the stairs up to ground level to exit the station.
- Read the section in "Subway Directions From Logan Airport" to continue to UUA.
