Annual Program Fund Committee
The Annual Program Fund (APF) Committee was established in 1976 to promote annual financial support for the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) and is an appointed committee of the UUA Board of Trustees.
The Committee:
- Works closely with the APF staff to plan and implement APF activity in the districts.
- Meets periodically to develop stewardship strategies, receive training and become more informed about the UUA. Additional training and strategy meetings may also be scheduled.
- Encourages congregations to include their minimum requested contribution (Fair Share) as a line item in their budgets and fulfill these contributions through regular and periodic payments.
- Acts as a liaison between the UUA and member congregations, answering questions about the APF and the UUA, informing congregations of UUA services and resources and assuring them of the UUA's financial accountability by providing information about programs and expenditures.
Vision, Mission, Ministry
Vision - Why we do our work
An association of congregations fulfilling our covenant through generous stewardship.
Mission - What our work is
To promote generous congregational stewardship in support of our Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations.
Ministry - How we do our work
Drawn together by our common calling to stewardship, we encourage UU congregations to envision abundance, embolden generosity, and enrich our larger faith community.
The above is the Vision, Mission and Ministry statement of the APF Committee. The following is a listing of our goals that will be informed by the statement and may be modified, added to, or deleted as necessary.
Goals
- Meet or exceed the annual APF goal as established by the UUA Administration..
- Be stewardship liaisons between our Association, our Districts and our member congregations.
Annually, objectives for each goal will be recommended by the Executive Committee to inform and carry out the stewardship of our congregations.
