Recommendations
The Accessibilities Committee will offer several events at General Assembly in St. Louis on Saturday, June 24. A workshop on how people with disabilities and able-bodied people can work together to become effective allies is scheduled from 2:15 to 3:30 p.m., and a workshop sharing congregational success stories is scheduled from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. The Committee is co-sponsoring a discussion for community activists from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. with UUA staff from the Identity-Based Ministries Staff Group. The Committee will make recommendations during plenaries for participants to take back to their home congregations and districts with the goal of inclusion and participation of people with disabilities throughout the Association.
